I cannot even express to how tired I've been this week with Russ gone! Having him gone usually wears on me, but being pregnant with him traveling has been miserable. I told the girls if they didn't annoy mommy today I would take us all out to get Sonic slushies. The girls kept their promise of being good so we went and got slushies. Mine was a bigger than theirs (large vs small), and Lily questioned why. I explained it with three simple words "I deserve it!" I survived the week and so I think I did deserve it :)

Breanne and me
Just another attempt at getting in more pictures with my kiddos. Bree's the easiest right now because she holds still for me! This whole project is tough, and I end up getting a lot of pictures of me that are totally unflattering. But, I know 10 or 20 years down the road I'm going to cherish all these silly pictures of me with kiddos. Have you been taking pictures of you with your kiddos? Give it a try so you don't regret it later on!

Mommy/daugther date
I've waited anxiously for the time when Lily has become old enough that I can take her on a mommy/daughter date. I probably could have taken her before now, but she wouldn't have gotten the point of it. The point mind you is to get some special time with just mommy. Hopefully in the future we can get some daddy/daughter dates going as well (I know Russ is waiting anxiously for HIS turn!)
Today was the day that I figured Lily was old enough for the mommy/daughter date. Okay so I didn't decide, it was a complete accident. See Russ and I had decided that Lily would probably enjoy watching new Disney movie The Princess and the Frog in the theaters. We also decided that Allie has become too noisy to be taken to a movie theater. Russ deemed this a "perfect" time for Lily and I to start our "dates" (I think he secretly just wanted to play Lego Star Wars on the Wii while Allie took a nap!)
Happily Lily and I hurried off to the movie theater. Unfortunately we only have ONE theater in town, and it is an expensive theater. I cringed as I paid the $7.00 matinee price, but tried to remember that this was supposed to be fun. We grabbed some concessions and settled in to our seats just in time for the previews to begin. Lily was so excited and couldn't hold still. The poor lady in front of us kept getting kicked in the back of the chair. The movie started and the story line was soooo cute....well, almost. I was quite peeved that a Disney movie had a Voodoo Master as the main villain. I know he's a villain and he is supposed to be bad, but come on! Did they really need to have him sticking a pin in a voodoo dolls heart? Or have creepy evil spirits dragging away the frogs spirit? The story between Tianna and Neveen was GREAT but I was bothered enough by the villain that I don't think we will be buying this movie. Lily even complained that the villain was "too scary". Maybe I'm being neurotic, but I think Disney is going downhill fast.
With that said, Lily and I had a lot of fun together at the movie. I can't wait for more of these "dates" to happen. Any fun suggestions for next time?
