It's a ...............

Today was the big ultrasound! We found out that we are having a..............GIRL! We weren't surprised at all considering the Jones record of producing boys. I was happy to know that Lily will now always have a playmate, but at the same time I was dissappointed. We were surprised to find out that my doctor's office does the 3D ultrasounds. I didn't even ask. They just did it. We got some beautiful pics of the little girl. We also got the news that I am actually a little further along than we thought. The nurse at the docs office had written down the wrong due date on my chart. I guess I am actually 24 weeks! That is 6 months for those of you who can't figure it out. I also got a confirmed due date of June 19th. I am not having a July baby!!! Yeah!!! (Inside joke with the Jones family).

Our Little Vampiress

I don't really feel comfortable putting Lily to bed at 8:30 and never going to check on her until 7:00 in the morning. So every night I go in around 10:30(my bedtime!) and check to see that she is covered, her night light is on, etc. I now am glad I do this. Last night I went in and found blood smeared all over Lily's lips, face, pillowcase, and blankets. In the dark I couldn't figure out what happened so I panicked. I yelled for Russ to get in there and help me. I think I scared him because he came pretty fast. In those few moments my mind calmed down and I remembered that Lily had been picking her lips lately and making them bleed. So, I turned on the light and sure enough, the blood was coming from her lips. She had made two deep gouges in her lips from pulling the skin off. It took a little while to clean her up and get the bleeding to stop. Lily was upset that she had been woken up AND that I was scrubbing her face. She looked like a little vampire with blood dripping from her lips when I first saw her. Needless to say, I have been watching her like a hawk today to make sure she doesn't touch her lips, and I have been slathering her lips with chapstick. Lily likes that part. I can tell she thinks she is putting on make-up!

I accomplished something!

Since Russ will be home soon and I don't want to have to fight for the computer, I will report now how my daily chores went. I swept the kitchen and bathroom. I mopped the bathroom. I finished another page on Russ's present, and almost finished a second. One and half more to go. Won't you all be excited to see the finished product? Goodnight all!

A better day?!

I was right! Yesterday was "One of those days". I knew I didn't feel well when I got up, but I didn't think I was sick. Apparently I was wrong. I layed down on the couch and fell asleep while Lily watched 3 hours of TV. Oops! I woke up and got her and me lunch. After lunch I bent over to get the phone. I guess the baby or my body didn't like that action. My lunch didn't stay down. Needless to say I let the answering machine get the phone. The rest of the day I felt sluggish, and my stomach hurt. After eating a good dinner I felt better.

So as far as chores yesterday. HAH! I didn't get anything done. Well, not true. I got a page of Russ's present done! Three more to go! So my list is the same as yesterday. I am not even going to bother writing it down. It is there down below.

I am hoping today will be a better day. I woke up feeling tired and sluggish again. Maybe I'll feel better as the day goes by.

One of those days!

As soon as I woke up, I knew it would be one of those days. I just don't want to do anything. I want to veg in front of the TV or read a book or something non constructive. Hopefully it will pass as the day goes by and I can get something done. Here is my list of chores for the day:

  1. Sweep and mop the kitchen and bathroom.
  2. Start to organize scrapbook bookshelves
  3. Finish Russ's Valentine present.

I can't believe I haven't finished his present! It is my top priority today. I think I can finish it if I work hard.

Just a quick update!

I just wanted to report on my chores. I finished the first two. It may not seem a lot but for me it is! Hopefully, tomorrow I can get those darn floors sweeped and mopped! Have a good night everyone!

Obsessed

Russ has been trying to download some emulators on our computer so he can play Mario64. Unfortunatley that game isn't working. However, he did get MarioKart 64 to work. He showed it to Lily on the computer once and now she has become obsessed with it! If Russ or I even go near the computer she always quips, "One game Mariokart please?" It is always a question as well. I really am not sure why she likes this game, she doesn't even get to play it. She just watches us play. Who knows?

Loooooong Monday!

Today is Looooooooooong Monday. What I mean by that is that Russell wil be gone till about 8:00 tonight. He has a class in Pocatello at 2:30 that is supposed to get done at 5:30. As of yet he hasn't finished before 6:30. Then he has to drive home and drop of the people he carpools with. I am glad I only have to do this once a week. I don't know how some of you deal with this every day or when your hubby's go on business trips. I would never survive.

Today is also going to be long because I don't get the car since Russ is driving. I can't leave the house! Lily and I usually go to story time at the library on Monday which breaks up the long day. No such luck when you don't have a car. Oh well!

Russ thinks that people probably think I am psycho and boring for listing my chore list for the day, but I don't care. Knowing that someone might read it gives me motivation to get it done. So here it is:

  1. Pick up the living room.
  2. Sweep and mop the kitchen and bathroom floors
  3. Vacuum family room/dining room.
  4. Start to organize my scrapbook stuff.

I survived!!!

Being a nursery leader has been hard for me. I am not the best at leading other adults. Nor do I like the fact that I have to do most of the work in nursery. So I usually dread going. Today however was a pleasant. We had no crying kids, the kids weren't contentious, and the other ladies in there actually helped a little. I came home in a good mood, which was a nice change. I feel like if I have a few more weeks like this, I can survive this nursery calling. Despite the fact of how challenging this calling is for me I still enjoy. The kids and their funny quirks are the best part.

Late night post

It almost 9:00 yet it feels like it really is almost 12:00. I just want to go to bed. Russ wants to watch Star Wars 3. He's been on a Star Wars kick lately. We have to watch all of them including the two cartoons inbetween 2 and 3. I guess I will give in and watch it. First I better finish this though.

Yesterday I didn't report on my chore list, so I will now.
  1. I took care of the desk
  2. I took care of the TV console
  3. I didn't sweep and mop
  4. I didn't vacuum.
  5. I didn't organize my scrapbook stuff.

I know it doesn't seem like I did much, but if you guys saw my desk and TV console before they were clean, you would realize it was a much bigger project than it seemed. Saturday and Sunday are days off concerning chores. I actually do other chores on Saturday like shopping and laundry so I don't have time to add in extra ones. So on monday I will continue working on my other three things I didn't get to.

This morning I went to stake Relief Society Enrichment while Russell watched Lily. I enjoyed it because I got out of the house without someone attatched to me. At it I went to two classes, they were okay. One was on stress and depression the other was on finances. Both classes were stuff I had already heard a million times. So I kept thinking in my mind should I be doing something a little more productive right now? I kept telling myself though that I probably was doing the right thing by being at RS. The other thing that motivated me to stay was that they served soup at the end of it. YUM!!

Well, my life was pretty boring today. SORRY! Hopefully, I will have more interesting stuff tomorrow!

A Funny Story with a Few Proud Moments As Well

Okay, as I start off my day here are few things that I just that were blog worthy.
  1. Last night as I was blogging and waiting for Russ to come home, Lily came and sat on my lap. She started crying all of a sudden and said,"Mommy, my nose hurts!" I told her to wait a minute and I would look at it. I wanted to finish the thought I was typing at the moment. I swear no less then 30 secs. I went to look at her nose and discovered that she had fallen asleep! It has been a looooong time since she has done anything like that. Russ walked in a few minutes later, and I couldn't resist having him take a picture of her before we woke her up.

  2. So I gave Lily a bath yesterday morning. Her hair came out curlier than usual. I decided to experiment with her hair. See if I could make a bow stay in it. Her hair is still super thin, so I wasn't sure if it would stay in. It turned out super cute. I was so impressed with myself that I tried to take a picture of it. The pics didn't show exactly how cute her hair was but I thought I would post them anyway.
  3. I just figured something out!!!! I have always been slightly frustrated with my photo editing progam. It was some free one that I got from Wal-mart. I was always frustrated because I couldn't do free form cropping. As I was getting ready to edit these pictures today, I noticed in very tiny print the words "free form crop". I was ecstatic! Now I don't have to do it at Wal-Mart and waste a whole hour waiting for their computer to decide to work! Today I love technology. Tomorrow, who knows?

I also decided that if I start the day with posting things I want to clean in my house today, I might get them done. So this is probably a boring section for you guys who read this, but for me it helps. Here are my "chores" for today:

  1. Clean off, organize, and dust the whole computer desk.
  2. Clean off, dust, and decorate the TV console.
  3. Sweep and mop the kitchen and bathroom floors.
  4. Vaccuum the rest of the family/dining room.
  5. Start to organize scrapbook bookshelves.

I will report at the end of the day how I did. Hopefully good!

What a day!

So yesterday I decided I'm the laziest person I know. Since I decided that I started crying because I feel worthless. I know a lot of this crying is because of hormones and stuff, but deep down I know that I really am lazy. So I decided that wasn't going to be the case anymore. I had already been on a cleaning kick anyway (Maybe I'm not lazy!) So I decided to step it up a notch. I decided to give everything and thorough cleaning. Since I'm pregnant I was realistic in the fact that I know this will take me a while to do. I decided that I would pick a project and get that done each day. My projects for today were as follows:

  1. Clean off the kitchen table of all junk!
  2. Vaccuum, dust, and clean above and below the craft table.
  3. Vacuum, dust, and clean behind the "cow" chair.

As I sit here after finishing those things, I feel lazy again. I mean I was thoroughly tired after doing these things, yet I feel like I just didn't do enough. How do you mom's do it out there. When I go to visit your houses, they are perfect! I just want my house to look like a home, and it just doesn't. Oh here go the water works again!

The other thing that is bothering me and causing my hormones to make me cry is this stupid blog! I really want this to look good. I mean everyone else's does. So why doesn't mine? I just don't understand how to get some of these functions to work. For example, I want to put a nice BIG title on my page with a picture. Yet every time I do this it takes up the whole stinking screen! I can't figure out how to resize. I have gone through every computer skill I know of to fix....but as you can see I still have a boring old title.

Lily has been in the strangest mood today. I think she might becoming down sick again. She has been cranky all day. This is very unusual for her. Granted on a typical day she usually does throw fits, but today it has been one continual fit. She feels like she has a temperature, but I can't get my thermometers to work. They keep saying she has a temp of like 94 degrees. Just one more thing on my to buy list. (Sigh...does that list ever get shorter or just longer??) Here goes another fit, she can't get her mommy into the car, so she is crying. Well, Russ should be home in an hour. I'll let him deal with her then.

Valentine's Day

This past week was Valentine's Day. Russ and I decided that we would celebrate a different day because we didn't want to find a sitter or deal with the crowds at restaurants. Lily and I still gave Russ a present that day. It was a paperbag scrapbook about why Lily loves her daddy. He is supposed to take it to work, so when he gets frustrated he can look at it and cool down. Kinda one of those warm fuzzy things. Russ hadn't got my present for me yet because he thought we were going to wait until we went to do dinner. Well, we still haven't gone to dinner. We are going on Wednesday but Russ gave me a present the day after Valentine's Day. It was a really pretty diamond necklace. The diamonds were fake, but I didn't care. It was still beautiful. He appologized that he didn't get me a flower too, but he said most places didn't have any flowers back in stock yet. Oh well! I still loved the thought!

Can I figure this out?

I am pretty competant with a computer. But somethings I just don't get. I am hoping that this isn't one of them. I thought it would be fun for me to try this since some friends have been sending me theirs lately. But I am still stuck on the question..... Can I figure this out? Bear with me as I make this attempt!
